About Us

The City of Dover is home to a vibrant and thriving business community.  Settled in 1623, it is the older permanent settlement in New Hampshire and the 7th oldest in the United States.  It is a great place to work, live and play and is conveniently located in the seacoast area of New Hampshire.  Dover is the fastest growing city in New Hampshire and ranks in the top 100 communities in the United States and one of the top communities for young people in the country.  Dover boasts superior municipal services, a great school system, outstanding parks and recreation services and numerous cultural destinations and events.
 
The Dover School District is made up of approximately 4200 students and 600 employees.  Three elementary schools educate students in grades K-4; a middle school serves students in grades 5-8 and a high school and career technical center serves students in grades 9-12 from Dover, Nottingham and Barrington.  The Dover Career and Technical Center provides students with an education that combines rigorous academic and technical study, preparing them for the world of work and continued education.  Placing an emphasis on project-based learning, the CTC employs highly qualified instructors who bring years of experience from the industry into the classroom, creating strong connections between theory and practice.  Programs of study include Automotive Collision Technology, Automotive Technology, Building Construction Technology, Computer Technology, Electrical Technology, Pre-Engineering Technology, Business, Marketing, Culinary Arts, Fire Science Academy, Health Science, Cosmetology, Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC), Biotechnology, Animal Science and Equine Science.
